The i-Lab empowers Keough School Master of Global Affairs students to hone their entrepreneurial thinking and develop innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
Global Partner Experience
The i-Lab's Global Partner Experience is a learning-by-doing approach that allows MGA students to work at the front lines of today’s most pressing challenges.
i-Lab teams work with their partner organizations for the full calendar year as a group of three to four, traveling to different parts of the world in the summer to collect data.
Returning to campus, they reflect together on what they have learned and, from their data outputs, prepare deliverables tailored to the needs of their partner organizations. The i-Lab is taking a different approach to policy and service delivery, focusing on human needs and experiences to devise innovative and effective solutions to address a range of social challenges.
Partner organizations gain the assistance of talented interdisciplinary teams of MGA students and their faculty mentors. These teams design a project that responds to challenges or opportunities posed by partner organizations generating professional-quality deliverables.
Past GPE student teams have evaluated existing programs, developed strategies in response to emerging opportunities, and designed frameworks and tools to address specific challenges.
Partner organizations benefit from a distinctive and valuable source of talent and experience while playing a transformative role in developing young professionals who are making a global impact well before graduation.
