Support the Program

The Mandela Washington Fellowship at the University of Notre Dame relies on the support of a variety of individuals and organizations within and outside of the University. There are two primary ways for individuals to support the program at this time.

Become a Host Family for an Evening

Every summer since 2014 the University of Notre Dame has welcomed Mandela Washington Fellows to campus for their Leadership in Business Institute. Our team at the Pulte Institute is in the midst of program planning and one of the cherished cultural events is the Family and Friends Hospitality Night.

This year Family and Friends Hospitality Night will take place on July 1, 2023 from 4-8pm. If you're interested in hosting a Fellow, please contact Ed Jurkovic by June 1, 2023. If you would like to receive general information on the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders program at the University of Notre Dame, please contact Sarah Genz at sgenz@nd.edu or (574) 631-5469.

All financial support the Pulte Institute receives helps us to provide a better Fellowship experience, through which we are helping strengthen Africa’s next generation of leaders. Thanks in part to their time at Notre Dame, our Mandela Washington Fellowship alumni are better prepared than ever to robustly contribute to strengthening democratic institutions, spurring economic growth, and enhancing peace and security across the continent and beyond.

On behalf of past and future Fellows, we thank you for your generous support!
