Improving Climate Change Resilience in Mozambique
Mozambique is a large coastal country historically exposed to flood risks. In response to historic flooding in 2000-2001, the Mozambican government implemented committees to assist local communities with disaster preparedness and reduce local vulnerability to climate-related flood risk.
The Pulte Institute worked with a German institution, Adelphi, and ND-GAIN, to develop and implement a study to evaluate the effectiveness of local committees and their efforts to reduce vulnerability to climate-change risks.
