Seungmin Lee

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Seungmin Lee is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Pulte Institute for Global Development. Before joining Pulte, Seungmin earned Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Cornell University, and B.S. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Seungmin worked at Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), Yale University, and Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) at the World Bank.

Seungmin’s primary research interest is applying micro-econometrics to measure household well-being and its long-term dynamics, and the impacts of safety net programs on them. His studies include food security and SNAP in the U.S., multi-dimensional resilience and Productive Safety Net Program (PSNP) in Ethiopia, and poverty dynamics in Peru. He has collaborated on other projects in other developing countries including Afghanistan, Kenya and Nepal.
