On Friday, April 17th, NDIGD had the pleasure of hosting USAID Research and Innovation Fellowship Team Lead, Nicholas Bassey on campus. Nicholas oversees the team that works directly with each of the six universities to implement the fellowship program.

During his visit, Nicholas met with many members of the Notre Dame community, including Vice President for Research Bob Bernhard, and Scott Appleby, dean of the new Keough School for Global Affairs.

He also gave a talk to the fellows, faculty, and members of the Notre Dame community at Innovation Park. Nicholas shared insight into the goals and impact of the USAID fellowship program. Fellows shared their research projects, asked questions and share ideas about the future of the fellowship program. The event concluded with a reception.
