Support the Program
The Mandela Washington Fellowship at the University of Notre Dame relies on the support of a variety of individuals and organizations within and outside of the University. There are two primary ways for individuals to support the program at this time.
Become a Host Family for an Evening
Do you want to get to know a few of these talented, multi-faceted business leaders one-on-one? Becoming a host family is a great way to do that! On one or two days each summer, host families are able to spend an afternoon and/or evening with several Fellows learning about their culture and introducing them to American (and Hoosier) culture!
In the past, some families have simply opened their home and shared a good meal, while others have introduced their Fellows to their friends, families, and neighbors, while still others have taken their Fellows to different places of interest in the community like a fair or one of the local lake beaches.
If you are interested in supporting the Fellowship in this way, please fill out the 2020 online host family application, available through the button below. We welcome families of all sizes and backgrounds!

All financial support the Pulte Institute receives helps us to provide a better Fellowship experience, through which we are helping strengthen Africa’s next generation of leaders. Thanks in part to their time at Notre Dame, our Mandela Washington Fellowship alumni are better prepared than ever to robustly contribute to strengthening democratic institutions, spurring economic growth, and enhancing peace and security across the continent and beyond.
On behalf of past and future Fellows, we thank you for your generous support!
