Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Specialist

Augustus is a versatile evaluation practitioner with over 13 years of international development sector experience leading Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) functions across multiple countries. Augustus has designed and implemented robust M&E systems for data management, conducting field surveys and leading evaluation teams; this is in addition to establishing Standard of Procedures, learning agendas and data collection plans for Randomized Control Trials (RCT) across a diverse range of program areas (e.g. internet freedom, digital freedom and digital rights, post conflict stabilization and countering violent extremism, third party monitoring, information management, social protection, cash based interventions, communities in transition, humanitarian assistance and education, gender-based violence, corporate social responsibility, WASH, public health, Food security and livelihoods, volunteer management and youth engagement, public health and disability inclusion, peace building and governance etc.)

With an extensive range of technical experience as a Monitoring and Evaluation, Research, Learning, and Adaptation (MERLA) Expert, Augustus has established effective results-based M&E systems and developed consolidated databases for field surveys and research studies, as well as led evaluation studies on multiple donor-funded projects (e.g. World Bank, USAID, USG State Department, IABP, GIZ, German Cooperation, USAID/LAB/OI, USAID DRL, USAID BHA (OFDA/FFP), USAID OTI, EU, DFID, ECHO, OCHA, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Government of Nigeria, Commonwealth Secretariat, UNDP, UNMC, UNICEF, AWDF, Global Fund, Qatar Foundation, and the Ford Foundation.)

Being a Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM), Augustus specializes in the conduct of Knowledge Management (KM) audits to review existing organizational knowledge through the mapping of critical knowledge threads to develop an organizational KM profile that promotes the internal transfer of knowledge, evidence uptake and utilization to meet business development needs and manage transformation change.
